Builds & Playstyle
The Magical Knot Catalyst is the Seer’s on-ramp to the Catalyst route — the Common-tier focus where the Reverent path’s two habits are meant to be learned: feeding Psionic Orb shots to build Psionic Energy, then spending it on Rune Summon. Because a Catalyst’s Attack stat feeds healing and shield value as well as damage (Shelter Rune and Psionic Shield both scale with it), every rung of the Catalyst ladder is a support upgrade, not just a damage one — the Magical Knot is where that scaling starts, however modestly.
- Where it sits: the bottom of the real Catalyst ladder (Combat Value 200), above the damaged Twilight Knot Catalyst (CV 100) and below the Beast Spirit Catalyst (Rare, CV 300).
- When to use it: your opening sessions as a Seer while you learn rune placement and Psionic Energy discipline.
- When to swap: once a Rare or better Catalyst drops, or as soon as you can afford one.
Community note: the Seer’s weapons index uses the Magical Knot as the category’s icon, and launch guides treat it as the free starting Catalyst for the Reverent support build; no tier list ranks individual Catalysts. That is community opinion from the launch window, not official data.
