Mistfall Hunter Servers
Quick answer: Mistfall Hunter runs on five regional servers — North America (United States), Europe (Germany), Southeast Asia (Singapore), South America (Brazil), and China — and your store account’s game build decides which ones you can see, not just where you live. Pick by ping, not by name: the US server covers North America, Germany covers most of Europe, Singapore covers Southeast Asia (and is usually best for Oceania), and Brazil covers South America. There is no Oceania or Middle East server, and characters are server-specific — switching servers means creating a new character. If a friend on another platform cannot join you, it is usually a region lock or build difference, not a crossplay failure.
Last updated: August 6, 2026 — the five-region lineup, the NA-build lock, and launch-week server status verified against the official FAQ, the Steam store page, and community reports.
Mistfall Hunter is an online-only PvPvE extraction ARPG, and every run happens on a regional server. Bellring Games deploys battlefield servers in five countries, and which servers you can see is determined by the game build your store account receives — not just by where you live. Here is what the current server setup looks like, how to pick the right one, and what to know before you create a character. For how many people are actually queueing on each region, see the live player count guide.

Server Locations
The official FAQ states: “We are currently deploying server locations across 5 countries: China, the United States, Germany, Singapore, and Brazil.” The same five-region setup is listed on the official Mistfall Hunter site’s news page and repeated by guide sites covering the launch.
| Region | Server Location | Covers | Latency & population notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| North America | United States | US, Canada | Usually the lowest-ping option for North America, and the region with the largest modeled player share (roughly 38.6% per SteamPulse). NA-build accounts are locked to this server. |
| Europe | Germany | Most of Europe | Shortest route and lowest latency for the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, and most other European countries. |
| Southeast Asia | Singapore | SEA countries (Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, etc.) | Best-latency pick for Southeast Asia and the usual first choice for Australia and New Zealand — there is no Oceania server. |
| South America | Brazil | Brazil and nearby countries | Much lower ping than routing to North America for players in Brazil and neighboring countries. |
| China | China | Mainland China version | A separate client and build for mainland players; the game’s server screen shows “CN and International” options to eligible accounts. |
Bellring has not published a per-datacenter city list, so treat each country as a deployment region rather than a single node — and it has not listed a US East / US West or EU Central split in the official FAQ.
The five-country lineup is the launch configuration, not the test lineup. Earlier tests used different regions: BETA 2 (April 2025) ran on Korea and US East, and BETA 3 (September 2025) ran on China, the US, Germany, and Japan. The launch FAQ and the official Dev Team FAQ #2 confirm the current list — North America (US), Europe (Germany), Asia-Pacific (Singapore), South America (Brazil), plus the China deployment — with no Japan or Korea node at launch.
How Server Selection Works
Before you create a character, the server selection screen shows the servers available for your game build and their ping. Key rules to understand:
- Your build decides your options. The North American build can only connect to the North American server, even if you are physically elsewhere. The same store-account restriction applies in the other direction — a non-NA build does not unlock NA servers. This account-entitlement lock, not your IP address, is why “wrong server” complaints are the most common server question since launch; see the region lock guide for which builds reach which servers and the workarounds that exist.
- Pick by ping, not by name. If your build offers more than one server, compare the displayed ping and choose the lowest. Note that ping is not the only factor: packet loss, jitter, and routing can make a farther server play better than a geographically closer one.
- Characters are server-specific. Per the LagoFast guide, character progress is tied to the server where it was created. Switching to a different server generally means creating a new character; your existing character and progression do not move with you. Players on r/MistfallHunter confirm that character data is separate between the server groups.
Which Server Should You Choose?
Based on the region-by-region breakdown in the LagoFast server guide:
- US and Canada — the North America server is usually the best choice. NA-build players may not see other options at all.
- Europe — the Germany server offers the shortest route for most European countries, including the UK, France, Spain, Italy, and Poland.
- Southeast Asia — the Singapore server is the recommended option.
- Brazil and South America — the Brazil server gives much lower ping than connecting to North America.
- Australia and New Zealand — with no OCE server, start with Singapore, then compare its ping against North America before deciding.
- Middle East — no dedicated server; compare Germany and Singapore and pick the lower latency.
If you are traveling or living abroad, do not assume your home region is still the best option — re-check the list on the server selection screen.
Oceania: No OCE Server (Yet)
Bellring has acknowledged the demand for an Oceania server. Per community coverage of a launch-week developer statement, the team said Oceania players represent only about 1–2% of the player base across all servers — not enough, in its view, to sustain a healthy independent server yet (longer off-peak queues, wider gear and progression gaps, fewer opponents, and emptier matches). A community manager later indicated the team has ideas it is considering for the region while it watches population growth, but an OCE server has not been confirmed. Until then, players in Australia and New Zealand should open the server selection screen and compare the Singapore and North America options by ping (per the LagoFast guide and r/MistfallHunter reports).
Servers and Crossplay
Cross-platform matchmaking is supported: PC (Steam and Xbox on PC), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S share the same player pool on the same servers. However, crossplay is region-bound — you can match across platforms, but not freely across regions. If a friend on another platform cannot join you, the usual causes are different game builds, different server regions, or the friend list not being unlocked yet. See the crossplay guide and the multiplayer guide for details on the in-game friend system, Player IDs, and grouping.
Server Status and Connection Issues
There is no official live server-status page yet, so third-party trackers are the best snapshot. As of early August 2026, status trackers such as Gamebezz’s Mistfall Hunter page mark the game stable, with only a handful of reports in the last 24 hours and login as the top-reported issue. During the first launch week, community status pages also flagged login queues and slow matchmaking in peak hours, without a developer-confirmed wider outage — capacity strain rather than a full outage. Always check the official Discord announcements for scheduled maintenance before troubleshooting.
At launch, players have reported connection trouble and high ping, particularly from regions without a nearby server. Bellring also sent launch-window mail rewards — a “Gesture: Thumbs Up” and 500 Soul Coins for accounts that log in before September 1, 2026 (see the codes guide). When you cannot log in or keep disconnecting, common checks include: confirming the server is not under maintenance, making sure your build supports the server region you selected, and checking whether your Steam store account is limited to a specific regional build. Guide sites also recommend switching to another available region if one server is unstable. For whether lag is population-driven, compare live player count against your region’s prime time.
FAQ
What servers are there in Mistfall Hunter? Five regional deployments: North America (United States), Europe (Germany), Southeast Asia (Singapore), South America (Brazil), and China. Cross-platform matchmaking runs across PC, PS5, and Xbox within each region.
Which Mistfall Hunter server is closest to me? Match your location to the five regions: North America → the US server; most of Europe (UK, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, etc.) → the Germany server; Southeast Asia → the Singapore server; Brazil and nearby countries → the Brazil server. There is no Oceania or Middle East server, so players in Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East should compare the displayed ping between the Singapore and Germany (or US) options in-game.
How many Mistfall Hunter servers are there? Five regional deployments: China, the United States, Germany, Singapore, and Brazil. Cross-platform matchmaking runs across PC, PS5, and Xbox within each region.
Can I change servers in Mistfall Hunter? If your build offers more than one server, you can select a different one before entering the game — but your character will not move with you. Characters are server-specific.
Does Mistfall Hunter have an OCE or Middle East server? Not currently. Players in Oceania typically connect to Singapore or North America, and Middle East players to Germany or Singapore, depending on which ping is better.
Why can’t I see the same server as my friend? Different game builds see different server options. Confirm everyone can access the same region before creating characters, and check that all builds are the same version.
How do I change servers in Mistfall Hunter on Xbox? Server options are set by your game build, not your platform. The server selection screen appears before you create a character — if your build offers more than one server, pick by ping. Characters do not move between servers, so switching means starting a new character.
Is Mistfall Hunter cross-region? No. Cross-platform matchmaking runs across PC, PS5, and Xbox, but it is region-bound — you can match across platforms within a region, not freely across regions.
