Builds & Playstyle
The Fine Iron Sword and Shield is the first Rare-grade set in the family, and the Mercenary build guide names it among the branch’s example weapons. At 14 Attack it is the set you actually carry through the early-to-midgame transition — and because its drop table (Equipment Rack 13%, Flesheater 15%) mirrors the hammer family’s Rare table exactly, it is as easy to come by as any mid-tier Mercenary gear.
- Where it sits: the second rung of the sword-and-shield ladder (CV 300) — above the Common Recruit Sword and Shield (CV 200), below the Studded Sword and Shield (Excellent, CV 400).
- When to use it: the leveling-to-midgame stretch, for either the control build or a Block-heavy PvP setup.
