Builds & Playstyle
The Executioner Greatsword is the first Rare-grade blade in the family, and its name is the class’s mechanic in one word: the Withered Knight literally executes enemies affected by Wither with heavy strikes. At 23 Attack and Combat Value 300, it is the first Greatsword that makes that loop feel deliberate rather than theoretical, and its 13% Equipment Rack drop makes it the easiest serious upgrade in the family.
- Where it sits: the second rung of the Greatsword ladder (CV 300) — above the Squire Greatsword (Common, CV 200), below the Exile Greatsword (Excellent, CV 400).
- When to use it: the leveling-to-midgame stretch, for the Wither-and-execute build’s tempo loop.
- When to swap: when an Excellent or better blade drops — the Rare tier is the class’s comfort zone, not its ceiling.
Community note: the Withered Knight’s launch ranking is split — KeenGamer puts it in A-tier as “best frontline control” while SkyCoach’s playtest-based list rated it C-tier on the playtest greatsword alone — but neither list ranks individual blades. That is community opinion, not official data.
